WILD SEEDS TOUR 2020
Emily Rigz, Lola Sola and Justine Wahlin will be hitting the road from Australias Central Coast to Melbourne and Canberra in 2020. Three powerful, passionate, raw and down to earth women. Individually they kick-arse, together they are a force to be reckoned with.
Emily Rigz is a prolific songwriter, guitar shredder, max energy performer based in The Blue Mountains.
You will usually find her thrashing the hell out of her 12 string guitar and hollering her lyrics over the mic like a seasoned warrior.
Sick and tired of love songs, Emily’s tone is more that of a guitar fanatical ratbag powered by a hive full of raging bees.
While bordering on being totally offensive she somehow always manages to woo her audience with her feisty skills on the 12 string and songwriting superpowers!
Some highlights over the years have been supported artists including Richard Clapton, Tex Perkins, Dragon and Ganggagang, releasing an album and two singles (with the next album in the works) plus drinking beer and making cool music with her amazing band members.
If you are looking for something different, this is the gig for you.
Emily offers her intense, sometimes confronting but always contagious zeal for life to every person at every performance she gives.
Justine Wahlin has written countless songs living most of her life with her head in the clouds immersed in the poetic nuances of life's ups and downs.
From a gypsy childhood with a musical father, her first love was always singing.
As a young person flying the nest her gateway instrument into a musical life was the bass. With a deep pulse that endures, she has found solace in songwriting
Like a locksmith with many keys, Justine has opened multiple doors that led to her true passion, to create heartfelt folk and roots with soul.
Her most recent album released in 2019 “A Pair of Dreamers” Recorded at Red Shelf Records is a delicately and beautifully crafted work gently weaving its way around people’s hearts and fast becoming a favourite.
“A Lovely Record” William Bowden (William Bowden Mastering)
“Do yourself a Favour” Paul Gough (RN, 2ser, ABC Radio, PimPod)
Over the last 10 years Justine has produced an impressive body of work. Her debut EP, a raw and heartfelt live recording “Conversation with Crows’ was followed by “A Long Way From Home” an ambitious studio album which took out the Anthony Lycenco best Roots Album Award at the Nimbin Roots Festival ARMAs in 2017.
Justine has emerged a songwriter and performer with a lot to offer among the poets and misfits. Her live shows have been described as “mesmerising” Karl Broadie and “Like listening to an old record, only live” Zvonko Jovicic
Justine also dances with CloudBird, a trio in which poetry and folk collide with a foot-tapping road trip sing a long's entwining guitars, harmonies, girl boy, yin yang, north south, land sea…throw in a bit of psychedelic dub and you start to get the full picture. CloudBird are due to release their anticipated debut album in late 2020.
While Justine pursues her various musical projects there is nothing she loves more than stripping it all back to perform solo, honouring the origin and true sentiment of her unique voice and story telling.
Folk/Blues/Soul Singer-songwriter Lola Sola is a touring devotee, lover of cheap wine, laughter and long conversations and has been making her mark on the hearts of both Australians & Kiwis for the past 3 years.
No stranger to a suitcase, an open road or a budget airline; she has been carefully crafting both a life on the road for herself and a repertoire of honest songs and stories for her audience.
With 2 EP's (Wild, All I Need), 1 Album (Walking Back From Hell), a Single (Get It) and 2 successful crowdfunding campaigns under her belt, Lola Sola returns to the road in November 2019 as part of her latest single release "tripping".
